  • Assist with the execution of international assignment, global mobility, expatriate and immigration programs
  • Responsible for all aspects of short- and long-term transfers and/or permanent relocation of Partners, Associates, Summer Associates and Trainee’s in affiliated and non-affiliated foreign offices to offices in the United States

Required
  • 1+ years of experience handling cross-border employee transfers and relocations
  • Related HR experience from employment within a large, global organization

Required REQUIREMENTS
  • 7+ years of legal personnel or human resources experience in a professional services environment; prior managerial experience preferred

  • Support the data aspects of the Support Staff annual review and year-end bonus processes, including providing relevant information to Firm Managers/Directors, ensuring that bonus and review data is accurately recorded in Lawson, coordinating with the payroll Department to ensure that accurate salary and bonus information is captured, and providing support to HR professionals in all offices.

Duties Summary
  • To provide proactive administrative HR support to the NY HR Business Partner, supporting a dedicated client group
  • To be responsible for ensuring all HR operational/technical administrative duties are consistently conducted in line with the departmental process and technologic systems

Responsibilities
  • Assist in all aspects of recruitment process, from understanding client needs, assisting in preparation of Job Descriptions, coordinate interviews, participate in selected interviews, document all feedback, create and file Offer Letters, Welcome Booklets for new hires, etc.  Ensure Welcome Process is positive, state of the art.
  • Provide proactive, timely and accurate support to the HR Business Partner, anticipating operational and technical needs where possible.  Serve as back-up for HR Business Partner where possible.
  • Responsible for providing timely and accurate information and advice to the client group, including US and UK benefit schemes and HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Assess needs of clients re benefits, etc., review existing programs to explain details of programs and to liaise with insurance brokers/ benefits providers to support needs and requests of individual employees.
  • Experience and knowledge of compensation, payroll, performance management/ appraisal, salary and bonus review processes ie, data modelling/spreadsheet/letters etc
  • Provide efficient administrative support for all stages of the employee lifecycle (i.e. new hires, departures, orientation, references, maternity, contracts, changes to terms & conditions, etc.
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partner in all recruitment including: the authorization process; creation and review of job descriptions; liaising with recruitment agencies and business managers to arrange interviews and obtain feedback; manage advertising campaigns, offer letters, welcome books, providing all materials and information to candidates and new hires
  • Ensure all hard/soft copy files are kept up-to-date in line with departmental procedures.
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely information is provided to the payroll function to ensure the payroll protocols are consistently achieved.
  • Responsibility for the accurate and timely input of data into the HRIS system, generating accurate and timely reports and analysis when required; learn all new systems which may be British based like HRIS (Topaz, eg) and the way information is compiled and organized on the systems (eg, G Drive).  Be willing and capable of assessing and reorganizing US information so that it is more understandable and user-friendly
  • Drive updated processes like communications/latest HR information to employees, and documentation re Posters, I9s, drug testing, fingerprinting, etc.
Required
  • Must have a minimum of 5+years in a Human Resources department with key responsibilities to include exposure to recruitment, payroll, benefits, and assistance to a senior level HR executive.

    . Job Description
      The  Human Resource Generalist for Information Technology will be responsible for managing all human resource activities required of the IT staff of the company.  Working together with both the Information Technology team and  Corporate Human Resources office, the candidate will be responsible for supporting approximately 240+ IT employees.  These responsibilities include the efficient and professional management of daily human resource activities, which include recruiting for open information technology positions, coordinating employee on-boarding and dismissals,  and acting as a liaison to corporate HR for benefits, payroll, and legal inquiries.  A significant portion of the candidate’s time will also be dedicated to a number of process improvement projects within the IT organization, which include title normalization, performance management improvement and establishment of training plans associated with well-defined career ladders.

      Recruiting Process Management:  The successful candidate will have considerable experience working with hiring managers to organize and execute processes associated with identifying and hiring Information Technology employees.  The candidate should be proficient in gathering requirements for IT positions, assisting managers in crafting high-quality job descriptions and be familiar with the use of online tools to post job information.  The human resource generalist will need to successfully identify candidates whose experience matches existing job descriptions, screen candidates, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, and manage all post-interview correspondence.  The generalist must be able to work successfully with hiring managers and corporate HR to present candidate offers, discuss compensation and organize the on-boarding process.

      Human Resource Management:  The candidate must be experienced in managing HR processes for an organization of similar size and complexity, and will be required to provide direct support to the CIO, VPs, managers and employees within the organization.  This includes having adequate knowledge of, and the ability to accurately manage an employee inventory and handle employee relations issues, understand payroll processing, work with confidential compensation and benefits information, manage terminations, understand exemption statuses, evaluate employee performance and improve the performance management process, help establish title consistency across multiple departments, assist in the design of career ladders and build employee training plans.

    Duties 
    1 Create on campus interview packets by preparing registration paperwork and organizing folders  .
    Assemble folders for shipment to each law school and follow up with the shipping department .
    Print resumes from e-mails and enter them in the firm’s database using “Lawcruit” .
    Process invoices and follow up with accounting department .
    5 Interface with the senior most executives of the firm .

    Answer Human Resource telephone and take messages for the Manager of Law School Recruitment when traveling. Maintain confidential information. .
