Summary

The TV Network(s) are seeking an experienced online advertising National Digital Account Executive (DAE) to join the advertising sales team in New York City.  The primary focus of this role is to identify prospects for national online ad sales, closing deals and generating revenue for this growing area of the TV Network beyond traditional Cable, Satellite and On-Air advertising sales. 

This National Digital Account Executive will work closely with the Vice President, Digital Ad Sales and other members of the sales team to strategize on building overall digital revenue for the network.  The Digital AE will be based in New York City and report to the VP, Digital Ad Sales. 

Compensation

A $100,000 to $150,000 base with equal or greater commissions and bonus structures that reward success. $200,000 to $350,000+ first year.  Based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for managing key relationships with agencies and clients who are national advertisers.  The national online advertising digital account executive must be a client-focused seller who has proven experience in national online/digital media advertising sales. 

This New York City based online advertising sales executive will work closely with national sales personnel to create and present creative opportunities for cross-platform online and (at times) on-air advertising to agencies and clients.  S/he will also identify prospective advertisers to bring to the TV Network(s) who enjoy cross-platform advertising campaigns. 

This East Coast National Digital AE will develop, close and manage business from new and existing national account and must be able to create, develop and execute sales strategies and proposals that agencies and direct Fortune 50-5000 will enjoy. 

Specifically, the New York City Digital Account Executive will:
 

  • Nurture and grow the network’s digital sales efforts with targeted clients who are national advertisers.
  • Structure deals and develop strong business relationships. 
  • Enhance revenue through a balance of direct sales to national advertisers and their advertising agencies. 
  • Create and/or identify convergent opportunities with advertisers that capitalize on the interactive properties and the TV Network's capacity to attract a desirable demographic based on their TV series, music, entertainment, tentpole programming, award shows and information dominance of culture, music, lifestyle and entertainment.
  • Sell across all digital, lifestyle, music, movie and entertainment digital platforms that are aligned with each TV Network based on the client's desired demographic.
  • Create fun sales presentations with your ideation team for key target categories and accounts.
  • Generate digital ad sales revenue that meets or exceeds budget
  • Effectively collaborate with multiple departments in order to achieve network objectives and optimize revenue through strategic and creative means.
  • Continually identify, define, and quantify both existing and new revenue opportunities that are cutting edge in the media, music and entertainment industry.
  • Keep management informed so they can be aware of new business and existing business development
  • Attend the weekly internal TV Network and Cross-Platform sales meetings and feel free to be creative.
Experience Required
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of digital advertising sales experience managing a list of national accounts.
  • Experience working with other media platforms synergistically such as, Network TV, Cable TV, Radio, Mobile and or Print, ideal.
  • Proven capacity to enhance revenue through consultative selling skills, the ability to listen to a client's needs.
  • Strong communication skills to present to major advertising agencies and clients in a variety of settings.
  • Solid relationships with agencies and clients that allow the presentation of special events, integrated advertising opportunities and digital sales opportunities surrounding TV Network Programming.
  • The ability to structure deals and develop strong client relationships as part of one the nation’s leading cable TV networks serving a loyal and devoted viewing audience.
  • Strong analytic abilities of media research to use media metrics as sales tools.
  • Ability to work productively with colleagues in sales, marketing, research, programming and creative brand solutions as a team member 
  • A track record of increasing digital ad sales revenue on a year-to-year basis

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and coach the New York team consisting of skilled national digital advertising sales professionals, digital sales support staff and conduct sales reporting to senior management.
  • Develop regular action and performance plans with account executives to improve sales volume and profit margins.
  • Personally, manage a honed roster of key relationships with CMO level Fortune 50-5000 national advertisers and their advertising agencies.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of digital advertising/marketing sales experience – proven sales leadership experience with strong examples of personally closing large 5 and 6 figure deals
  • 5+ years’ experience building high-performance sales teams at consumer facing digital brands. Establish mission critical policy and procedure. Foster a positive and rewarding business climate which motivates team members, but holds them accountable.
  • A deep understanding of the industry's marketing landscape.  The ability to confidently navigate video, display, programmatic, multiscreen and mobile advertising marketplaces.
  • Passionate about building the right programs for your clients.
  • Exceptional agency and direct brand relationships across a breadth of categories including entertainment, auto, tech, retail, CPG, apparel, and more. Contacts with experiential agencies and event sponsorship managers are a plus.
  • Comfortable having high-level conversations with senior marketers and decision makers. Strong written and verbal presentation, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Goal and results oriented — cool under pressure. Has a personal need to track results and progress.

Responsibilities

  • In a hands-on manner participate in day-to-day execution of preventive maintenance, facility personnel assignment, equipment calibration and technical support
  • Provide high-level customer support and service to News, Digital, Production and Master Control departments.
  • Resolve issues through careful analysis and trouble shooting, fabricating, cabling and wiring new installations with proper labeling and or documentation as directed by the Director of Engineering.
  • Participate in developing project priorities, resource requirements, project scope and objectives.
  • Assess issues / needs and provide enhancements to existing systems.  Analyze systems and or workflow to identify issues, improvements and solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of broadcast industry technical and business knowledge to keep the broadcast infrastructure up to industry standards.
  • Work closely with broadcast operations to keep them informed trough documentation of changes to the production environment.
  • Maintain, track and report all project status and metrics 
  • Manage a small talented staff of engineering and technology professionals who also have staff reporting into them.  This is a hands-on job for someone who enjoys being a real catalyst in broadcast operations, production and post. 
Requirements
  • Engineering or related degree
  • A minimum of (7) seven years of experience providing:
    • Studio
    • Master Control
    • Non-Linear Editing
    • Server and Transmission Technical Support
  • AutoCAD or Visio drawing and document skills preferred 
  • Full cabling, wiring, equipment configuration, installation, systems integration and project management experience desired
  • A history of providing quality support to editors and production
  • A working knowledge of networking technologies, topographies and troubleshooting used in broadcasting, highly desired
  • In depth knowledge of ADC 100, ROSS Overdrive, studio camera setup, MPEG compression, satellite communication required

The Chief Broadcast Engineering will be responsible for daily “hands on” support of the technical infrastructure and team for 24/7/365 live News and production facility. This highly technical staff position requires an experienced individual with multi-channel master control, live studio production, editing and digital workflow skills. Ability to communicate under complex and stressful conditions to all levels is key to the success. In-depth knowledge of broadcast automation systems, ENPS newsroom rundown systems as well as core distribution technologies is required.

  • Manage, schedule, train, mentor, team of 10+ broadcast engineers/technicians
  • Monitor, supervise, and improve the daily production control processes within the Broadcast Operations Unit with a focus on Technical Systems, Master Control, and Live Events
  • In-depth knowledge of satellite, OTA, fiber, and IP transmission systems
  • Generate engineering schematics, design documentation, and SOP’s for all technical systems
  • Consults with Engineering and Senior level management to conceptualize new systems and integrate new technologies/systems into existing operation
  • Maintain monthly broadcast calendar, schedules, weekly call sheets, and daily exceptions (sick call etc.), including vacation scheduling, special events, cross-coverage and cross training
  • Recruit, hire and train new employees, manage and develop operations and production staff

  • Facilitate communication between the technical team, news desk and production staff
  • Understanding of IPTV, MATV, and OTT a plus

Requirements Essential Skills
  • Strong troubleshooting, working and technical understanding of digital broadcast technology, digital signal types, media formats and compression, sync, time code and signal flow.
  • Operational as well as technical knowledge of production control technology including Ross Carbonite switchers, Yamaha digital audio consoles, Imagine Communications Farad SAN / Nexio video servers, studio equipment, Evertz EQX Router, RTS, Crispin automation, etc. required. 
  • Experience with ENPS or other NRCS systems highly desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of MPEG encoding technology and head-end/NOC distribution required. 
  • Familiarity with traditional terrestrial and satellite broadcast technology is helpful.
  • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and maintaining broadcast automation systems. 
  • Advanced knowledge of serial, GPIO, and IP control methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding supporting LAN/WAN infrastructure, routing, switching, VLANs, etc

  • Ability to create, read and follow blueprints and system schematics as well as frequently produce workflow documents, signal flow schematics and Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • At least 2 years of extensive experience with MS Visio and/or AutoCAD required.

  • Multi-tasking and on-the-fly prioritization skills are essential. Must frequently complete time-critical assigned tasks under stressful situations with minimal or no supervision.

Job Profile

As a Systems and Workflow Engineer you will be part of the centralized support and administration team of workflow, server infrastructure and cloud services.

You will need strong technical and interpersonal skills and work with a highly talented team as well as being the escalation point for the first line client support helpdesk teams providing systems administration and engineering assistance to maintain the server environments. You will work with a team dedicated to providing a unique mixture of solutions oriented technical support and customer service, resulting in maximum customer satisfaction.

Key Duties

  • Deliver engineering support and systems maintenance in line with good practice processes, customer expectations and customer contract service level agreements.
  • Work as an integral member of the engineering team to support the operation, troubleshooting, installation or maintenance of the clients servers, editing systems? ingest, media management, playout, workflow, back up systems and network infrastructure.
  • Help architect and implement video production workflows where necessary to optimize and/or meet the clients business requirements.
  • Consult and help implement new video services and/or products in furthering the evolution of the streaming ecosystem with a focus on scalability and high availability.
  • Configure, develop, test and implement appropriate software and hardware to optimize and/or meet the clients business requirements.
  • Help define video requirements with best practices in mind.
  • Cultivate relationships with current and existing vendors/partners to improve video quality of service and experience
  • Responsible for implementing, management and support of system monitoring services across our client
  • Environments. This includes ensuring all sites are properly monitored and tier 1 support have access.
  • To proactively monitor and report on the health of our clients’ technical environment including the network LAN / WAN? cloud services? storage usage levels, production systems and SAN hardware to ensure good day to day management of the systems and to help identify and rectify issues before they impact the user environment.
  • Provide diagnostics, fixes and patching remotely, over the telephone, through our helpdesk systems or on-site to optimize the configuration and performance of the networks and systems.
  • Consult and collaborate with the help desk team, which you will be part of to provide efficient technical issue resolution, where necessary escalating issues to other internal teams in accordance with the escalation process. 
  • Responsible for tracking, communication and resolution of engineering support issues in the Support Ticketing System.
  • Follow internal procedures to document technical environments, procedures and good practice protocols for our customers, updating documentation to reflect any changes. 
  • Provide support to the team deploying on-site customer solutions, demo / trial setup, operation and product testing. 
  • Update software / hardware assets on client database and tracking systems.
  • Maintain documentation of hardware maintenance, configuration, failures, removal, and installation.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the video infrastructure.
  • Assist in RMA process for customers’ equipment.
  • Provide customer feedback to the Head of Engineering.
  • Be part of the team's support rota to provide 7 day, 9am 6pm support coverage 365 days a year. 
  • Provide out of hours support via mobile phone on a rota basis.
  • Responsible for team member appraisals in conjunction with the Head of Engineering
Key Role Deliverables
  • To provide first line application and technical support to the video environment and its Adobe Premiere Pro and motion graphics workflows to ensure the facility is maximizing its capability and ensuring that issues are resolved to enable users to hit their production deadlines.
  • To implement local support processes and service level agreement as agreed by the central team Support Manager for delivering a high quality proactive support service with effective communication lines with users, central escalated support team and Client’s operational team.
  • To lead and deliver assigned projects by set deadlines and when applicable utilize both local and centralized resources for tracking and reporting of progress into the firms project management system. 
  • Look for continual improvement and efficiency in the utilization of technology, workflows and associated processes.
  • Help identify innovation opportunities for the client to deliver benefits back to the business and its users.
  • To provide timely and regular communication with the central team to ensure that the firm is working as one team for delivering support and projects to our clients.
  • To manage technical, licensing and workflow information for the facility and to ensure this is kept up to date and available to the wider team and to the Client’s operational team
  • To oversee, document delivery knowledge transfer to Client’s in-house team and to promote good practices by helping users to become self-reliant in key technology and processes, helping them transition to new ways of working.
  • With cross functional teams plan, implement and support the piloting and testing of new technology, creative platforms and workflows in the facility e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, and to ensure knowledge is captured to support any wider roll-out to the client’s other facilities
  • To consistently utilize the firm’s systems and resources to proactively look at ways to improve service and operations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience supporting a multi platform infrastructure environment. Windows Server, Mac Server, Linux, Etc
  • Have proficient knowledge in video technical infrastructure and operations, incorporating the following hardware and all associated software:
    • Near Line Editing Systems
    • Shared storage systems
    • Backup services and procedures
    • Switches, hubs, cabling plant and other network equipment.
    • Routers, firewalls and communications links
  • Solid experience in Production and Post Production Workflows
  • Digital desktop editing packages specifically Adobe Creative Apps
  • Ability to troubleshoot IT related problems and provide solutions
  • Experience with process mapping

Produce discussion programs, current affairs magazines and features on a variety of subjects including health and personal fitness, entertainment, sports, fashion, science and technology. 
     
  • Deliver quality TV newscasts that inform, entertain and increases audience while adheaering to journalistic standards 
  • Manage the newsroom as a senior level TV broadcasting executive 
  • Play a key role in the editorial process and all assigned TV newscasts, breaking news, special news event programming, newsgathering and production 
  • Responsible for overall decision-making about story selection, live shots, breaking news coverage and newscast formatting for assigned TV broadcasts. 
  • This Executive Producer supervises TV producers; provides training, mentoring, critiquing and evaluations of producers, correspondents and TV anchors. 
  • Required 
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (U.S. based experience/journalism education desired). 
  • Seven (7+) years of TV production experience. 
  • A minimum of five (5) years of TV news management experience is required. 
  • Outstanding leadership skills, high production standards and a drive to excellence. 
  • News/editorial judgment focused on in-depth, balanced, quality storytelling that is void of advocacy. 
  • Fluency in Classical Arabic (reading, writing, speaking)

  • Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in communications, broadcasting, or related field; ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 10+ yrs supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the Middle Eastern media environment and geopolitical issues that affect transmission and operations. 
  • Previous experience with an international broadcaster preferred,  including experience in managing multiple departments
  • Experience of living and working overseas a plus
  • Experience with integrating new technology into operation and changes in media delivery, including appropriate content development for multiple delivery platforms.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, and proven ability as a team builder/leader
  • Extensive knowledge of radio programming & production technology & procedures
  • Strong organization & communication (oral & written) skills in a multi-cultural environment.

    Job Description
  • The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for the mechanical and electrical systems in a 24/7 broadcast television facility.
  • The technical and non-technical space is over one million square feet.
  • The electrical plant includes three 2 MW generators enabling the facility to go off grid during periods of peak demand.
  • There are four large UPS’s in the facility.
  • The Director manages all preventative maintenance of the HVAC and electrical systems using both contractors and internal resources.
  • The Director supervises the daily work of the IBEW Local 3 electric shop and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30 engineers.
  • Other responsibilities include providing input to the Facilities Design and Construction Department in the design of capital improvements.
  • Required
  • Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in either mechanical or electrical engineering
  • A PE is preferred (but not required)
  • At least 7-10 years experience in a 24/7 technical facility with progressively greater management responsibilities is required.
  • Candidates should be knowledgeable of building management systems (Siemens preferred but not required).

  • We are seeking an Editor-in-Chief to oversee all aspects of content production and event coverage on the site.
  • The Editor-in-Chief will manage the day-to-day production of all written content online including scripts, editorial, blogs, headlines, promos, etc. We are looking for real web management experience and enthusiasm for online media.
  • The Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for the development of creative writing styles and accompanying style guides. He/She will ensure continuity among the editorial units and set the tone of those units accordingly. Additionally, the Editor-in-Chief will be continually challenged with the differentiation of content, tone and editorial among other production units including Television and Print.
  • Specifically, the organization will be looking to the Editor-in-Chief to formulate content plans. Create and manage editorial schedules (both long and short term), develop distinctive tone and voice for editorial packages and site sections, manage the production of assignments from producers and partners through the production shop, and manage the team of creative professionals. The Editor-in-Chief will have a close working relationship with the Creative Director (Information Architecture and Design), VP, Interactive, on-air creative team, and the Magazines.

  • Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources.
  • Monitor news-gathering operations to ensure utilization of all news sources, such as press releases, telephone contacts, radio, television, wire services, and other reporters.
  • Assign topics, events and stories to individual writers or reporters for coverage.
  • Required Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of web and media production techniques including general communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via interactive, written, and visual media.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
