One of America's most innovative and respected radio media companies representing the future of radio, radio advertising and radio monetization is seeking a polished and honed radio advertising sales professional to work with senior level direct national advertisers and their advertising agencies.  This person should be just as adept in the boardroom of a major automotive company as they are on the golf course or working with senior level executives in the world’s leading advertising agencies 

Duties:

The Sr. Director of Business Development or Vice President is responsible for selling new advertisers into the Ad Network and for maintaining/expanding advertiser commitments secured.

The position includes a mutually agreed upon list of accounts (client and agency) to be sold to, managed and cultivated for growth. The position will receive extensive management support, operational support, and access to industry standard research, such as ACT 1 Nielsen Data. 

  • Call on national advertisers 
  • Call on major advertising agencies 
  • Develop and maintain relationships seeking the most highly desired demographics in the industry 
  • Engage and entertain high-level Fortune 50-500 executives with compelling and dynamic reasoning with regard to national advertising campaigns. 
Requirements
  • A current history of success selling radio advertising campaigns to national radio advertisers 
  • A polished and professional sales executive who feels as comfortable in the boardroom with CMO's as with ad agency buyers and planners and entertaining clients. 
  • An executive who can work with senior management and cross-functional internal teams to assure that clients and agencies are consistently receiving exceptional service. 
  • The ability to convey strategic and tactical advertising ideas and plans with trust, maturity, innovation, enthusiasm and confidence.  Good ideation skills. 
  • Candidates with U.S. and Foreign automotive relationships will be highly regarded for this opportunity as are all other business verticals. Automotive, Insurance, Financial, QSR’s, Beverage, Telecom, Big Box Retailers, CPG and so on.... 
  • An acumen and interest for media technology as it relates to modern radio broadcasting very helpful.

This executive will concentrate on traditional TV advertising sales and integrated initiatives relevant to the brand's TV Networks, Digital Online Properties and Wireless Programs.  From an organic perspective this is the most growth oriented brand in the media conglomerates portfolio.  As a brand this media property is as recognized as Coke, SONY or McDonalds. 

As revenue is currently predominantly generated by TV advertising sales, TV advertising sales acumen, experience and success are imperative.

This executive will work with TV Network and Online Digital staff to optimize revenue while drawing from a vast amount of internal resources reflective of the organizations dominance of specific global media, music and entertainment genres.

This person should have a proven track record of gaining internal and external consensus in the formulation, execution and completion of revenue generating programs on a national basis in U.S. markets.

This position is for an executive who is capable of articulating justifications for initiatives with internal presidents of operating groups, advertising agencies and global brands.

Requirements
  • 10 to 15 years of TV advertising sales experience, in a leadership role
  • Exceptional presentations skills and the capacity to convey ideas and direct modality in a concise and articulate manner
  • Experience interfacing with senior most staff internal and external to an organization
  • Broad acumen with regard to key advertising agency and client relationships across all verticals: Beverage, Automotive, Electronic, Gaming, CPG, Pharmaceutical, Apparel, Music, Travel... etc. 
  • Strong management and mentoring skills
  • Experience managing large staffs and also functioning independently
  • A record of meeting and exceeding budgets
  • National Broadcast or Cable TV Network experience with an in depth understanding of monetizing content through digital platforms.
  • Ability to work in a large sophisticated media company effectively as an executive and broadcast media professional.
  • An understanding of financial, business, human resource, technical and creative components required to bring initiatives to fruition.

  • Deliver quality TV newscasts that inform, entertain and increases audience while adheaering to journalistic standards 
  • Manage the newsroom as a senior level TV broadcasting executive 
  • Play a key role in the editorial process and all assigned TV newscasts, breaking news, special news event programming, newsgathering and production 
  • Responsible for overall decision-making about story selection, live shots, breaking news coverage and newscast formatting for assigned TV broadcasts. 
  • This Executive Producer supervises TV producers; provides training, mentoring, critiquing and evaluations of producers, correspondents and TV anchors.

  • The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for the mechanical and electrical systems in a 24/7 broadcast television facility.
  • The technical and non-technical space is over one million square feet.
  • The electrical plant includes three 2 MW generators enabling the facility to go off grid during periods of peak demand.
  • There are four large UPS’s in the facility.
  • The Director manages all preventative maintenance of the HVAC and electrical systems using both contractors and internal resources.
  • The Director supervises the daily work of the IBEW Local 3 electric shop and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30 engineers.
  • Other responsibilities include providing input to the Facilities Design and Construction Department in the design of capital improvements.
  • Required
  • Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in either mechanical or electrical engineering
  • A PE is preferred (but not required)
  • At least 7-10 years experience in a 24/7 technical facility with progressively greater management responsibilities is required.
