Duties, Skills & Experience Required

Duties

  • This Senior Director of Publishing & A&R shall sign their own writing team(s) to consistently provide songs for some of the most noted artists in the world. With an emphasis in Japanese and U.S. markets,  
  • The mission is to form and manage songwriter/producer teams who will be at the forefront of the "global creative industry" to constantly provide songs for artists and develop "original sounds" that set trends.
  • Provide creative services to writers in a manner that enhances relationships and builds business.
  • Manage writing sessions for artists with in-house and third-party writers, either independent or signed to other publishers to leverage the recording studios owned by the company
  • Constantly source demos from third party writers and publishers for company artists

Duties

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to work with others who also enjoy the process and workflow of conceiving and creating these types of creative sales and marketing materials and ideas for clients that activate consumers.
  • A Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in related media with 3-4 years of interactive and or social media exposure that activates consumers
  • Any experience planning or strategic planning in an advertising agency or media environment where great ideas come to fruition, when placed, in front of the right audience.
  • Must be detailed oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and drive process in a consistent manner for proposed timelines.
  • Excellent reasoning and "idea" skills to comprehend what the client needs and then engage and motivate consumers.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently with others who truly enjoy what they do and where they work. This is a very positive culture.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and focused to thrive in an upbeat and creative sales and marketing environment that changes priorities based on the needs of new and existing clients. The ability to switch from Music to Cosmetics to Travel & leisure to Beverage and so on.
  • The ability to conceive and generate and execute programs for social media and online content that optimizes the firm's dominance in activating consumers on behalf of the Fortune 50 - 500 and Unicorn Brands is what we are seeking.
  • Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and a knowledge of social platforms. The ability to "place" provided syndicated research (MRI, Nielsen, comScore, MediaRadar, etc.) into sales and marketing materials at times.
  • Design skills and full knowledge of Photoshop a must with InDesign and other design programs like InDesign plus.
  • A person who enjoys building things and has the creative drive to engage consumers for global brands in diverse industries
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required, Master’s degree a plus
