Duties In a hands-on manner participate in day-to-day execution of preventive maintenance, facility personnel assignment, equipment calibration and technical support Provide high-level customer support and service to News, Digital, Production and Master Control departments. Resolve issues through careful analysis and trouble shooting, fabricating, cabling and wiring new installations with proper labeling and or documentation as directed by the Director of Engineering. Participate in developing project priorities, resource requirements, project scope and objectives. Assess issues / needs and provide enhancements to existing systems.  Analyze systems and or workflow to identify issues, improvements and solutions. Maintain a high level of broadcast industry technical and business knowledge to keep the broadcast infrastructure up to industry standards. Work closely with broadcast operations to keep them informed trough documentation of changes to the production environment. Maintain, track and report all project status and metrics The Chief Engineer has three direct reports to also include the Master Control Supervisor who has one full time and rotating temp employees to meet all schedules. Summary	Global media and entertainment company is seeking a broadcast executive with mechanical and systems engineering and facilities experience
Job Description	The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for the mechanical and electrical systems in a 24/7 broadcast television facility. The technical and non-technical space is over one million square feet. The electrical plant includes three 2 MW generators enabling the facility to go off grid during periods of peak demand. There are four large UPS’s in the facility. The Director manages all preventative maintenance of the HVAC and electrical systems using both contractors and internal resources. The Director supervises the daily work of the IBEW Local 3 electric shop and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30 engineers. Other responsibilities include providing input to the Facilities Design and Construction Department in the design of capital improvements.
Required	Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in either mechanical or electrical engineering A PE is preferred  At least 7-10 years experience in a 24/7 technical facility with progressively greater management responsibilities is required. Candidates should be knowledgeable of building management systems (Siemens preferred but not required).

Summary	The Staff Engineer is a member of the Network Technology Group. (NTG) The position is responsible for providing engineering and maintenance support for the Network's Compression and Encoding systems.  The Staff Engineer will also serve as a primary trainer for the TOC staff.
Job Responsibilities	Manage, maintain and operate all compression technology in use at the Network Proactively monitor all inbound and outbound transport streams for errors. Identify and document trends in service affecting outages.  Work with vendors involved in the implementation process and track action items to ensure satisfactory levels of customer support. Review system design documents, including single line drawings, cable schedules and equipment layouts. On-site quality control and proof of performance testing. Perform routine maintenance on compression systems. Develop and administer training seminars and courses to successfully indoctrinate new TOC staff members on the daily operations and functions of the TOC. Maintain and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for TOC operations, Compression systems maintenance, and emergency action procedures.
Skills Required	Candidates should have in-depth experience with Domestic and International Television Satellite Compression and distribution systems. Candidates should have a basic knowledge of architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems and how these systems interact with the technical equipment. Computer literacy, excellent oral and written communication abilities and close attention to details are required.  Satellite transmission systems experience is desirable. A BS or BA degree is desirable. Must be authorized to work and reside in the United States.

Position Summary	This person will handle TV Affiliate System Engineering of the primary satellite distribution networks and provide both engineering and operations support while managing several systems that support the scheduling and control of the distribution network.
Skills Required	A BSEE or equivalent engineering education with 5 year's of experience in a Broadcasting / Cable TV / Telecommunications engineering environment with particular emphasis on RF and satellite.  TV Video systems are obviously the most desirable MPEG transmission technology, digital video and audio signal analysis. HDTV systems engineering is a big plus. Strong computer operational, interpersonal and communication skills are needed. Familiarity with satellite and terrestrial telecommunication industry trends a plus as they pertain to TV Network Broadcasting. Experience with UNIX and Windows is desired for satellite systems and to keep the affiliates informed of changes.
