| Responsibilities |
Explore
advanced technology to include grid based servers to create motion picture
content in and for multiple media formats
Utilize
and develop Java, C++ and C tools to create media formats for Closed Captioning;
601; 701; Window Media Player; Dolby E; H.264; GXF; MXF and theoretical
applications in Beta.
Investigate
future technology and CODECS to create audio and video content that maintains
the companies position as the leading media and entertainment company in
the World.

| Skills
Required |
Undergraduate
or advanced college degrees in college degree in Engineering, Mathematics
and or Computer Science preferred
A minimum
of 10 years of software development experience with 5 years experience
in software development in the video entertainment industry or video software
manufacturing and development
Experience
with audio and video file processing as well as the transcoding process
Knowledge
of industry standard audio and video formats as well as audio and image
processing
Experience
developing software applications using industry-standard video and audio
codecs
Strong
software development skills in C, C++, Java, XML
Self-motivated
with the ability and desire to analyze problems and develop solutions utilizing
cutting-edge technology
A desire
to grow in a multinational media and entertainment company
Ability
to work well in a team environment and exhibit a desire to grow in the

Strong

| Job
Description |
The Director
of Facilities Operations is responsible for the mechanical and electrical
systems in a 24/7 broadcast television facility.
The technical
and non-technical space is over one million square feet.
The electrical
plant includes three 2 MW generators enabling the facility to go off grid
during periods of peak demand.
There
are four large UPS’s in the facility.
The Director
manages all preventative maintenance of the HVAC and electrical systems
using both contractors and internal resources.
The Director
supervises the daily work of the IBEW Local 3 electric shop and the International
Union of Operating Engineers Local 30 engineers.
Other
responsibilities include providing input to the Facilities Design and Construction
Department in the design of capital improvements.

should have a bachelor’s degree in either mechanical or electrical engineering
A PE is
preferred (but not required)
At least
7-10 years experience in a 24/7 technical facility with progressively greater
management responsibilities is required.
Candidates
should be knowledgeable of building management systems (Siemens preferred

Staff Engineer is a member of the Network Technology Group (NTG).

Staff Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and maintenance

Manage,
maintain and operate all compression technology in use at The Network.
Proactively
monitor all inbound and outbound transport streams for errors.
Identify
and document trends in service affecting outages.
Work with
vendors involved in the implementation process and track action items to
ensure satisfactory levels of customer support.
Review
system design documents, including single line drawings, cable schedules
and equipment layouts.
On-site
quality control and proof of performance testing.
Perform
routine maintenance on compression systems.
Develop
and administer training seminars and courses to successfully indoctrinate
new TOC staff members on the daily operations and functions of the TOC.
Maintain
and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for TOC operations, Compression
systems maintenance, and emergency action procedures.

Candidates
should have in-depth experience with domestic and international television
satellite compression and distribution systems.
Candidates
should have a basic knowledge of architectural, mechanical, and electrical
systems and how these systems interact with the technical equipment.
Computer
literacy, excellent oral and written communication abilities and close
attention to details are required.
Satellite
transmission systems experience is desirable.
A BS or
BA degree is desirable.
Must be
