Seek and manage Original Series Productions and insure the delivery of shows with the highest levels of entertainment and production value in accordance with creative criteria.

Approve schedules and budgets.

The EIC serves as liaison between the network and the production and is responsible for shows that support the creative vision and business of the Network.

Responsibilities include looking for properties, taking pitches. Develop relationships with outside producers, creators, writers, directors, agents and production companies.

Set/maintain goals of production by working with producers on show ideas, scripts, production and post-production.

Administrate and maintain budgets.

Support and maintain Network point of view and creative goals to producers. 

Help negotiate deal structures and contracts in tandem with legal dept.

Communicate creative to network and input into positioning and franchise strategy for each program.

Help develop and implement promotional strategies.

Communicate creative to network teams and talent to help them realize their vision.

Give notes on creative and approvals through all phases of production.

Uphold network standards and production guidelines. Manage production plan and schedule.

• Minimum 5 years of television development.
• Wide ranging background in production.
• Excellent writing skills and knowledge of script structure.
• Ability to manage creative talent.
• Clear-thinking, straightforward approach to problem solving and decision making.
• Expertise in financial management.
• Strong ability to build working relationships with other Network departments and executives.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have scripted series experience
