Practice
Assistants are skilled executive legal secretaries who are seeking
the next step in their career.

Practice
Assistants function with autonomy and have the skills required to learn
to work on special projects with each case and client.

Practice
Assistants play an active role in the development of legal documents based
on their advanced capacity with Microsoft Word.

Duties
include, but are not limited to: performing complex legal secretarial
activities which may be highly confidential and sensitive and require diplomacy
and discretion
-
Interface
and establish ongoing positive business relationship with clients; communicate
effectively on busy, multiple telephone lines; type, format, edit and finalize
legal documents;

Transcribe
taped records of conferences and meetings; compose routine letters and
memoranda and prepare reports;
-
Establish
and maintain office files and records materials; assist in the preparation
of time-keeping, travel, expense reports and other personnel records;
-
Conduct
internet research as directed by attorney(s); schedule and arrange meetings
and conferences; make travel arrangements; calendar maintenance;

Filing
and general secretarial duties as assigned

| Compensation |
$75,000 to
$85,000 and two bonuses and paid OT - see full benefits below |

| Skills |
Proven
track record of providing the highest level support to senior level partner
or executive, who is involved in many disciplines in addition to the primary
professional responsibilities.
Ability
and initiative to creatively solve problems, for example locating necessary
sources for information to advance matters when complete information is
not available, or solving operational problems by working with related
service providers to meet support needs.
A minimum
of 7 years recent experience as an executive assistant
Excellent
written and oral communication skills; strong customer service orientation;
a proactive work ethic; attention to detail; excellent attendance and punctuality;
must be available for overtime evenings and weekends.
Strong
day-to-day organizational skills are essential, including the ability to
analyze, assess and prioritize work assignments.
Must have
proficiency working in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
A minimum
typing of 55+ wpm is required.
A desire
for career growth with a noted U.S. based global law firm
A minimum
of two checkable references
Ability
to work in a professional legal environment
Ability
to work effectively with junior and senior level staff members
Polished
and professional with a good sense of social decorum.
