Responsibilities | Client
Relations
Service current clients by providing them with proposals, show scripts and all relevant research material and related sales information. Stay abreast of new business developments, changes in personnel, industry events and issues. Maintain good relationships with clients and other contacts. Work with Vice President of Reality Programming in developing new business and revenue streams with current clients by responding to their changing needs and market conditions. Prepare sales presentations for clients at NATPE and other industry sales shows (MIP, MIPCOM etc.) Market Existing Library of Product Responsible for marketing and sales of existing library product to current and new clients. Track and flag expired product available for renewal or new license. Set and Communicate Sales Quotas: Identify and assign target markets, accounts and quotas to sales staff. New Business Development Responsible for identifying new business opportunities inside and outside of the TV industry. Develop client and or partner relationships within those target areas. Close new deals. Negotiations Responsible for all aspects of deal negotiations with clients
Create deal memo Work with law department and business affairs as they prepare a contract to make sure that it is accurately interprets the key points of each deal. Continue to work through the negotiation process with client and department as fine points are resolved. Analyze the impact of any precedent setting terms on future business. Prepare financial data for entry into internal accounting systems. (ILR's) Operations / Finance / Accounting Insure that the ILR and all payment points of the deal are accurately entered into corporate accounting systems and oversee the implementation of the data entry. Responsible for working with the finance department to make sure that the deal is correctly represented in the budget and that the revenue is accurately recognized each month. (Licensing term has begun and/or product is delivered) Responsible for assuring that billing and payments are made. This includes continual follow-up with clients and finance department to track late payments. Annual Budgeting Responsible
for working with Vice President of Programming and Finance on preparation
of the annual budget and monthly tracking of revenue and profitability.
